After you have prepped your pages with color, you will be adding a second layer. This second layer will be different patterns and doodles. Your goal is to have decorated pages to apply more layers on top of. Don't worry about the end result. Explore different patterns on each page spread. Make sure that you are also creating patterns on your individual papers too. Play with different color combos and scale of the patterns. Apply different patterns on each page of a page spread.

You can choose to go through each lesson in order and apply that doodle to a page in your journal, or you can jump around and choose the patterns that resonate with you.

Remember, your goal is to have 2 layers on your page before you do anything more with your it. Layer 1 is applying color. Layer 2 is decorating it with doodles and pattern.
