Welcome to month 1!

This is the first month of the Layered Expressions course. I'm so very excited you're here! Thank you.

The image above is a sneak peek into the work we will be doing this month.

There are 3 page spreads to complete with some simple collage fodder.

You will see me work in acrylic paint and paint pens but please use whatever art supplies you want and have. These pages can easily be done with marker, ink, paint pens, color pencil or watercolor.

I started with a design element I saw in my home and went from there. That pattern inspired the first page spread. I then had that finished page spread inspire the next page. The third page was inspired by the first 2 pages.

You can follow along and do what I do, or choose a different aspect of the design to inspire your second and third page spreads.

The last step is to add something and/or take away something. I will challenge you each month to do this. As precious as a page is, you are going to add something to it and/or take something away from it. I share with you some ideas in the last video.

I hope you enjoy these projects. Take your time and enjoy the process.
